It is six months until the Purdue football team kicks things off against Indiana State, and expectations are not real high when it comes to success for the Boilermakers, according to one betting site.

FanDuel recently released its win totals for Power 5 teams and the betting site has Purdue tied for last among Big Ten Teams with 4.5 wins. In his first season at the helm of Purdue football, Ryan Walters led the Boilermakers to a 4-8 campaign and won two of the final three games, including keeping the Old Oaken Bucket.

In December, Walters said he believed team chemistry would be better, as will competition this spring.

“Where a lot of our guys a year ago came in the summertime. So I think chemistry will be better. Competition will be better. Spring ball we’ll probably be able to have a spring game because we’ll have the numbers to do so, a couple with the stadium being finished,” Walters said.

Purdue opens the season Aug. 31 against Indiana State and will open Big Ten play Sept. 28 against Nebraska.

Here is a look at the total win projections for the Big Ten:

Ohio State 10.5

Oregon 10.5

Penn State 9.5

Michigan 9.5

Southern California 7.5

Washington 7.5

Nebraska 7.5

Iowa 7.5

Maryland 7.5

Wisconsin 6.5
