As he continues preparation for his first season at the helm of the James Madison Dukes, Bob Chesney is adding more older players to the Dukes' offense. That trend continued this week with the commitment of Vanderbilt tight end Logan Kyle.

Kyle, a 6'3", 224-pound Texas native, announced his commitment on Thursday via his social media accounts.

Kyle spent four years at Vanderbilt, where he graduated after majoring in medicine, health and society. In four seasons with the Commodores, Kyle played in 30 games primarily as a blocking tight end, with two starts, both of which came in 2023. He totaled 12 catches for 108 yards with no touchdowns. He was also used in the rushing game, albeit infrequently. He had just two carries in 2023.

Coming out of high school, Kyle was a three-star recruit according to all three major recruiting services. He set eight school receiving records at Tomball Memorial High School.

Kyle will have two years of eligibility remaining.
