Syracuse vs. Pitt: In their final home weekend series of the season, the Panthers took two of three from the Orange. Pitt's Olivia Stefanoni pitched a complete game, giving up only one earned run as the Panthers defeated Syracuse 8-3. Second baseman Kat Rodriguez went 4-4 from the plate with 2 RBI and two runs scored. In Game 2, Syracuse pounded the softball, scoring 12 runs on 16 hits in the game. Three 'Cuse players hit home runs in the game. Vanessa Flores hit a two-run shot in the first inning, Madison Knight hit a solo blast in the third, and Rebecca Clyde closed the game with a two-run homer in the seventh. In the rubber match, Pitt had an unbelievable start to the game on their way to a 7-5 win. In the bottom of the first inning, the first eight Panthers' batters combined to score six runs off of four home runs. Cami Compson started it with a two-run home run, two batters later Desirae Martinez hit a solo home run, then two batters later Rachael Fuerst hit another two-run homer, and the next batter Ana Hernandez capped it off with another solo homer.
