Kick him while he is down. This seems to be the approach taken by Australian golf course owner Clive Palmer in regards to the much-maligned Tiger Woods.Palmer appears to think that his course, and the sport in general, would be better off without Woods as its proverbial face. From The Australian:“Tiger Woods isn’t the No 1 golfer in the world any more,” Palmer said. “We don’t want to look backwards, we want to look forwards. So why would you get Tiger Woods here? I would prefer to have Peter Senior than Tiger Woods.“I am sure Peter Senior could beat Tiger Woods on a good day. I am sure he could.“Tiger Woods has improved a lot but he’s an emotional wreck and he’s not a good example for kids, anyway.”Palmer is seeking to convince PGA Tour officials to keep the Australian PGA Championship at his resort on the Sunshine Coast. Palmer Coolum Resort just wrapped up hosting the aforementioned tournament on Sunday. I am no expert, but I have got to believe that refusing to invite golf's most well-known figure isn't likely to help his cause. But this is also coming from the same guy who brought in a giant dinosaur to his course.
