Brooks Koepka shares SAVAGE 6-word response to reporter’s bizarre question ahead of 2024 Masters
Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Ahead of the 2024 Masters tournament, LIV Golfer Brooks Koepka took part in the pre-tournament press conference and looked as confident as ever. In this he was thrown a bizarre question to which he gave a savage reply.

Koepka who blew his chances to win the tournament last year, was asked whether a low score of 59 is attainable at the Augusta National. So far, the lowest round score shot at this iconic course is 63.

This led to Brooks Koepka asking the reporter “have you played here?“. After the reporter claimed “not yet“, the five-time major champion shared a six-word response saying “I can tell by your response“, thus taking an indirect dig at the media person.

The exchange was not over there though. After a brief laugh, the reporter would ask him what could be the attainable score here and suggested whether he can shot 63. Once again Koepka gave an epic reply to him.

I mean, now, anything’s attainable. But, yeah, if you want to go play the members tees and maybe play like 15 holes, yeah, I could do that. Brooks Koepka said

This year Koepka would be hoping to do one better at the Masters. Despite having a four-shot lead in 2023, the American golfer ended up losing after suffering a dramatic collapse which eventually saw him finishing T2, four-shots behind winner Jon Rahm.

Brooks Koepka gives bold take on whether he misses playing against best players at PGA Tour

During the press conference of Brooks Koepka on Tuesday, he was also asked about whether he misses playing against the best players at the PGA Tour. He would proceed to give a bold take on this question.

Koepka is one of the marquee names in golf who left the PGA Tour in 2022 to play for LIV Golf. Since this switch, he has been constantly criticized for it. As per reports, he received at least $100 million for jumping ships and joining the 54-hole circuit.

When a reporter asked him whether he “misses playing at Bayhill and stuff“, the Smash GC captain said he thinks that is “subjective“.

I think that’s subjective... Look, the best players in the world never got together week in, week out. I think that's kind of forgotten. If you look at the Tour schedule, it was the majors, WGCs… or at Memorial, but those were pretty much the 10 events where everyone was, for sure, going to be there. Brooks Koepka said

Speaking of playing against the best players, Koepka has been paired with Tom Kim and 2023 Open Championship winner Brian Harman for the Masters tournament. The interesting part of this pairing is the pace the golfers play at.

While Koepka likes to move fast, Harman has been criticized for his slow speed. Last year at the Masters, Koepka would take shots at Patrick Cantlay and Viktor Hovland, two golfers who were in a group ahead of him for their “brutally slow” pace. This time he might have to wait again for others to finish up their play before proceeding to the next hole.
