Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee says it was a mistake to compare Tiger Woods' rules violations this year to his own episode of cheating on a fourth-grade math test.
Chamblee linked Woods' violations to cheating in a column he wrote for SI Golf Plus that appeared on golf.com. He says he will no longer write for the website.
He appeared on Golf Channel on Wednesday night, his first time on the air since the column appeared. It also was two days after Woods and his agent, Mark Steinberg, put pressure on Golf Channel. Woods said he was moving on, but the ball was in Golf Channel's court and what it was prepared to do.
Chamblee says Woods was directing his anger at the wrong group.
