No, Geoff Ogilvy, 40th ranked golfer in the world, wasn't invited to a wedding at the Augusta National Golf Club. He was asked to show up for a little golf tournament set to start on April 5th, 2012. Perhaps the Board of Governors got a little ahead of themselves by already inviting Ogilvy to play on that Saturday and Sunday, but I think he'll take it.
I didn't even know that the Masters sent out a physical invitation asking the qualifying players to attend until last night. I don't supposed that one will be arriving at this guy's house any time soon. But, should I get one, I'd have to decline anyway. I've already accepted an invitation from my couch to sit on it and watch a golf tournament that weekend.
