The Sports Gag:
Day 1 at Augusta National was a day full of big names in the hunt, and a few newcomers shining at the top. Australian Marc Leishman finished the day with an early lead with a 6-under 66, and compatriot under-the-radar David Lynn put on a show with the putter to finish the day at -4. Sergio Garcia managed to not implode and finished tied for the lead at 6-under. There’s plenty of time left for a disaster, Tree Whisperer. Don’t worry.
There are plenty of notables floating around the top. Ageless wonder, Fred Couples, continues to put up good showings at the Masters as he sits tied for 4th at 4-under. Dustin Johnson had a strong day to finish with a 5-under 67 showing yet again that the sport of golf is an equal opportunity employer, even for #DateRapeFace.
Of course, everyone was waiting around to see how Tiger Woods fared. Of course, the freakin’ ridiculous online live streaming options available via the CBS and Masters websites limit viewers to the lame “feature groups” and feature ...

Woods, heavily favored coming into the tournament, made a bogey at No. 14 and saw a short birdie putt slide by the hole on No. 15 to mar what could have been an even better start...

Think of it as power couples instead of Fred Couples.
Some of the talk Thursday at the Masters wasn't just about what was happening on the tees and greens, but who was outside the ropes looking in. The No. 1 and No. 2-ranked players in the world, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, had entourages that included girlfriends with some pedigree of their own.
For Woods it was Lindsey...
AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) Tiger Woods dropped two strokes at the Masters before he even hit a shot Saturday, and he still has a chance to wear another green jacket.
Woods shot a 2-under 70 in the third round at Augusta National, shaking off a two-stroke penalty assessed before he went out to the first tee. When he walked off the 18th green after sinking a testy par putt, he was four strokes...

The most exciting tournament in golf is nearly upon us, and most of us are anxious to see if its a new pair of shoulders that the coveted Green Jacket is draped over on Sunday or one of the wily veterans. With The Masters set to begin on Thursday and some people still feeling the sting from their busted NCAA Tournament brackets, a Masters pool can be a great way to try to erase some...
