Rory McIlroy isn't exactly taking care of buiness at the British Open, where he shot a second-round 75 while spraying drives all over the place. But he did take care of a young fan who was a victim of one of the Irish star's wild shots.
McIlroy made headlines on Thursday when he bounced a tee shot off the head of a teenage spectator on the 15th. The kid, Jason Blue, required medical treatment and received both an apology and an autographed glove from McIlroy.
That wasn't all. McIlroy chose to pay for a hotel room for Blue, who was camping out in a tent at a local cricket club while he attended his first British Open, and also bought him and a pal dinner at a restaurant on Thursday.
