Mics catch Viktor Hovland get hit with bird poop at Open Championship

Viktor Hovland will soon find out whether getting hit by bird poop means good luck on the golf course.

The Norwegian star was preparing to hit a shot from the fairway during his opening round of the British Open (otherwise known as The Open). As the large white seagull flew away, Hovland took a step back and told his caddie “I just got s--t on.”

We’re not sure of the golfing protocol for this sort of natural accident. Hovland wiped away the remnants. But surely this happens more than we think, since it’s all outdoors with lots of trees. The best golfers in the world currently are gathered at Royal Liverpool Golf Course for The Open, the final grand slam on the schedule. Laughing at yourself surely will get you to relax.
