All that Navy Seal training Tiger Woods went through is being put to good use.

In a new commercial for PGA Tour 14, Woods and Arnold Palmer find themselves crossed by some thugs who want to steal their trophies (which are cleverly hidden inside their suit jackets). No matter — Woods and Palmer apparently know enough about kicking and punching to take care of these hoodlums.

Things get especially chippy near the end, but a special cameo by Lee Trevino, of all people, restores the world to order.

Report: Tiger sent crass text to Rory

According to reports, Tiger Woods apparently sent Rory McIlroy a text message that in essence read, "Get your finger out of your ass and win."

Tiger Woods and Arnold Palmer kick butt in awesome new commercial

Woods and fellow legend Arnold Palmer team up for this EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour '14 commercial, which is probably one of the greatest spots ever put together.

Tiger Woods Captures Lead at Bay Hill After Shooting 6-Under 66, Eyes World No.1 Ranking

ORLANDO, Fla. — Tiger Woods is one round away from returning to No. 1 in the world. Woods made an eagle for the third straight day at Bay Hill on his way to a 6-under 66 to race by Justin Rose and take a two-shot lead in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Rickie Fowler (67) and John Huh (71) also were two shots behind. With a victory Sunday, Woods will be No. 1 in the world ranking...

Tiger back on top with record win

Tiger Woods is back to No. 1 in the world with a game that looks as good as it ever has. Woods tied a PGA Tour record Monday by winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational for the eighth time. He never let anyone closer than two shots in the final round at Bay Hill, closing with a 2-under-par 70 for a two-shot victory over Justin Rose. Woods, who takes over the top spot in the World...

A long road back to top ranking for Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods returned to No. 1 in the world by winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational, not surprising except if you consider where he was a little more than a year ago. Woods had not won a PGA Tour in some 2 1/2 years. He missed most of the summer and two majors in 2011 because of injuries to his left leg and Achilles tendon. He walked off the course at Doral a year ago because of...

Sergio Garcia hits a shot from up in a tree

This is easily the most bizarre thing that I have ever seen in a golf tournament.  At #10 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Sergio Garcia hit his drive and his ball got stuck in a tree.  Rather than take a penalty for an unplayable ball, Garcia climbed up into the tree to try and hit a shot. When he got up there, he actually hit an incredible shot.  To turn your club backwards...

Tiger Woods texts Rory McIlroy some interesting advice

It seems as though getting back to being ranked #1 in the world for the first time since December 2010, having a new girlfriend and putting together three wins to start the year has Tiger Woods feeling better than usual.  This text message to Rory McIlroy doesn’t seem like the normal thing Tiger would do, but it does make it seem as though Rory and Tiger are better friends than...

Rickie Fowler’s choke job leads to a Tiger win at Arnold Palmer Invitational

Video: Sergio Garcia Takes A Shot While Standing In A Tree!

Follow @DSchmelzerTSB on Twitter I am not a huge golf fan. I mean, I check in now and then to see how everyone is doing, and I usually know who has won the recent majors, but I am by no means a big time golf nut. But, when I heard about this story, I had to know more. Video of the shot after the jump At the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida this weekend, Sergio Garcia shanked...

Earlier on Tuesday it was reported that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had some harsh words for cornerback Morris Claiborne, who is struggling big time in his third NFL season. Goodell discusses personal conduct policy with former pros

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell met with 11 retired players to discuss the league’s personal conduct policy on Tuesday. According to The Washington Post, Goodell spent 3.5 hours discussing this policy in New York City with Troy Vincent, among others. Interestingly enough, Vincent sent out a rather cryptic tweet earlier on Tuesday, which can now be read to have pointed to the meeting...

S.F. Giants CEO believes ads on uniforms are coming

San Francisco Giants CEO Larry Baer indicated in an interview with a local radio station in the Bay Area that he believes advertisements on MLB uniforms are coming soon. One of the reasons Baer believes that this is a likelihood is due to the fact that current commissioner Bud Selig has been a consistent opponent of placing ads on players’ uniforms during his trenue. He’s set...

Rocker on 'Survivor': It was worse than I expected

The CBS show “Survivor” will feature a familiar face to baseball fans this season. Former Atlanta Braves closer John Rocker will be in the competitive reality series, which begins its 29th season on Sept. 24. The pitcher, who made over $5 million in his baseball career, had to survive in a remote area in Nicaragua as part of the show. While we’ll have to watch the show to find...

Floyd Mayweather: Reality show is scripted

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s recent confession is just another reason why we shouldn’t believe everything we see on TV. Mayweather made an appearance before the Nevada State Athletic Commission today, after being called in to speak about an intense sparring session that was featured on an episode of his Showtime reality series. He defended himself by dropping a bomb, claiming nearly...

Jerry Jones questions Morris Claiborne's performance

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne was torched for five receptions, 108 yards and two scores against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. The former first-round pick has been absolutely atrocious when he’s actually seen the football field in his two-plus years with the team. Anyone who has watched the Cowboys play during this span know this full well. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones...

Bill Simmons dares ESPN to punish him for ripping Goodell?

ESPN’s Bill Simmons sometimes goes off the rails in very un-ESPN-like fashion. As a result, he’s part of a small group of key faces at the Worldwide Leader who are sometimes penalized by their employer for going too far. It’s debatable whether Simmons went too far with his latest diatribe against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday, but it does appear as though — in...

Judge in child support case: Paul George is a deadbeat dad

Earlier this year I broke the story of Pacers All-Star Paul George offering a former stripper, Daniela Rajic $1 million to have an abortion when she became pregnant following a summer fling with George last year. George is currently attempting to get custody/and or arrange child support for Baby Girl Olivia born on May 1st, 2014. The judge in the case is reportedly tired of George...

Should Geno Smith sit and Michael Vick start for Jets?

Photo Credit: Jets/Facebook After the New York Jets suffered their Monday Night loss to the Chicago Bears (27-19), two main weaknesses remain evident. One, the Jets secondary has underachieved tremendously being one of the worst in the league. Two, Geno Smith continues to battle with inconsistency throwing the football.
