PLAYERS: Tiger Woods

Via Image CPR:

Tiger Woods missed his chance at winning the Masters, but he doesn’t have to worry about winning over his girlfriend’s parents — he already has.

Lindsey Vonn’s parents said Tiger Woods has their vote of confidence despite his record of serial cheating.

“We are excited about Lindsey and Tiger being together. We really like him,” Vonn’s mother Linda Krohn told the National Enquirer.

“I like Tiger Woods as a person, and I support Lindsey in whatever she does,” said Vonn’s father Alan Kildow.

Woods and Vonn went public with their relationship last month. Vonn was at the Augusta National Golf Club with Woods mother, Kultida.

So it looks like all is well with the parents — and that makes any relationship easier to manage.

That’s one less thing for Woods to worry about as he tries to maintain his No. 1 world ranking and win at least one of the three remaining major golf championships this year.

Right now, Woods is taking a short break from playing tournaments.

He’s skipping the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow next week. The last time he won there was in 2007.

  • That makes aea903 less than a scumbag! If you can get that LOW!
aea903 should stop being such a jealous, bigoted hater. Tiger is better than aea903 will ever be.

Good luck Tiger; we love you.
  • yep! that's for sure. sometimes what somebody thinks of other people shows a lot about him(or her)self. no question about it, tiger made some mistakes. 'guess it makes him human. i hope he gets back to the level he was at before the "screw-up"! Good luck TIGER!
  • Its time Tiger moved on instead of dwelling on his X-wife who gave him reasons to seek out someone for companionship. This nice looking lady will keep Tiger at home at night.
  • Tiger is a reverse racist, hates the fact that he's Black. Your standard piece of do do for a better word.
  • Cheating is wrong an don't try to push it off as we're human us humans also have brains, that doesn't mean I am going to go out an act on my wants cause I'm horny. Not only did he break his vows to his wife but also let his kids down. I think anyone has a right to call him a scumbag at this point.
  • Love you Tiger so pleased you are happy it shows in your demeanor when you are playing, super to see your Mom in the pictures.

Old Tiger Woods ‘Wedge Trick’ Nike Golf Commercial Gets a Remix

I still to this day try and see how many times I can bounce a golf ball off my wedge when I play 18, all because of that Tiger Nike commercial from back in the day. Nike realized the power of the original Tiger wedge trick commercial and have brought it back, this time featuring golfers Rory McIlroy, Nick Watney, Paul Casey, Kyle Stanley and Suzann Pettersen. The result is pretty...

Steubenville is as Steubenville does

It's been said that winning can help mask even the lurid transgressions. Ask Tiger Woods and Rick Pitino what recent success has done for their respective reputations in the wake of embarrassing personal scandals. And it appears the magical healing power of victory also lends itself to the competitive world of big-time, small-town, Friday Night Lights-style high school football...

Nicklaus: Ruling correct on Woods at Augusta

Jack Nicklaus thinks Tiger Woods got the proper ruling at the Masters. However, he's not so sure he agrees with the slow-play penalty given to 14-year-old Chinese phenom Guan Tianlang. Woods' third shot on the par-5 15th in the second round hit the flagstick and ricocheted back into the water. He took his drop from 2 yards farther back - contrary to the rules - from the...

John's WinWarble: 6.39 seconds (respectable, but not noteworthy)

At this point in the season, the last thing you want is your starter blowing out his woofers on an attempted 7-second WinWarble.Yes, Mariano won it. Yes, it was a big win. But listen to John hold the line and keep it within a tight 6.50.  He's like Tiger Woods with the final put to win the Master's: He's excited, he's happy, yet he's not about to jeopardize the...

Guan blending into young crowd

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By DOUG FERGUSON AP Golf Writer There was a time when a 14-year-old on the PGA Tour would be considered big news. It's starting to feel like old news. Guan Tianlang tees it up Thursday at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans, which must feel like a significant step down from where he was two weeks ago. He played practice rounds at Augusta National with Tom...
