Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn made their first public appearance as a couple at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York.

Woods, the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world, and Vonn, a World Cup skier who is recuperating from knee reconstruction surgery, appeared on the red carpet Monday night wearing classic evening attire for a party that encouraged attendees to wear clothes inspired by the history of punk rock.

Last month, Vonn was seen at the Masters supporting Woods while he competed in the tournament. But the last time the couple was seen together was for this staged portrait that they released on Facebook in March. That was the first time the couple confirmed their dating rumors.

Woods, who is divorced, is back on top of his golf game after he suffered a PR meltdown following his numerous affairs.

The PR disaster combined with injuries caused him to drop to No. 58 in the world golf rankings. He had to cough up more than $100 million to his ex-wife Elin Nordegren in a divorce settlement.

Woods will compete in his 300th career PGA tournament this week at The Players Championship.

The tournament is considered the “fifth major.”
