Tiger Woods was long gone from PGA National when Jack Nicklaus settled into his seat in the NBC Sports tower. Woods' week at the Honda Classic included two lost balls, four shots in the water and 15 shots out of the bunkers. He made four double bogeys, was never better than 3-under par at any point and was under par for only 26 out of the 72 holes he played. None of this was enough to alarm Nicklaus. In what now sounds like a broken record, Nicklaus maintains that records are made to be broken, including his gold standard of 18 professional majors. ''I still think he'll break my record,'' Nicklaus said Sunday. ''Tiger's talent, at 37 ... it's not that old. I won four after that. They were spread out. It wasn't that difficult. I don't think for Tiger to get four or five more - or six or seven - is that big a stretch.'' Woods, of course, has been stuck on 14 since winning the U.S. Open in a playoff at Torrey Pines in 2008. Tiger Woods has a terse message for golf experts

Tiger Woods shared a few thoughts for the critics this past weekend at the Honda Classic. Simply put, Woods stated that those that have criticized his swing in the past, and Rory McIlroy these days, "don't understand the game of golf." The interview from ASAP Sports after the second round dived into numerous topics surrounding Tiger's play at the Honda Classic...

Jack to Tiger: ‘better get going’ to break Major record

Tiger Woods won the US Open in a playoff at Torrey Pines in 2008, to capture his 14th Major title overall. It seemed like it was not a matter of if, but when Tiger would eclipsed Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18. Nearly five years later, Tiger is still stuck on #14, and many believe that he won’t catch the Golden Bear. Nicklaus isn’t one of those people, at least yet. “I still...

Tiger not won a WGC since 2009

Tiger Woods has gone 14 major championships without winning, dating to his playoff win in the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. Perhaps more surprising is how long he has gone without a World Golf Championship. No one was more dominant than Woods in these world championships. He won 15 of the first 27 events that were played (he missed the Match Play in Australia, so his winning...

Who knew golfers were so interesting?

The Golf Boys know how to have a good time. Somehow we're guessing this makes Jack Nicklaus uncomfortable.

McIlroy's way out of mess is to be like Woods

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By DOUG FERGUSON AP Golf Writer The statement released by his handlers was almost as bad as the kid's decision to walk out on the tournament. It was the first big mistake of his career, at a time when the golf world was enthralled by such a young talent. He was criticized by the press and by his peers for his selfish behavior, though there was hope that...
