Suzann Pettersen is playing like she doesn't want the LPGA Tour season to end.
Coming off two wins in her past three starts, Pettersen birdied two of the last three holes Thursday for a 6-under-par 66. That gave her a share of the lead after the opening round of the season-ending Titleholders. So Yeon Ryu, who already has won LPGA rookie of the year, and Sun young Yoo also had a 66 on a calm, warm day at The TwinEagles Club. Yoo was at 9 under until a pair of three-putts led to a double bogey-bogey finish.
Stacy Lewis, the LPGA player of the year who needs a win to have any chance of capturing the money title, made two late bogeys and had to settle for a 70.
