What a win that was for Team Europe in Rome at the weekend as the Europeans defeated the Americans 16½-11½, the scenes that unfolded yesterday were something else.

McIlroy – “One of the biggest accomplishments in golf right now is winning an away Ryder Cup and that’s what we’re going to do at Bethpage.” Lowry with the “ah, go on Rors!”

The next Ryder Cup will be on in American and that should be even bigger as the Europeans will look to win State side. There’s a nice bit of a rivalry building up between the two teams now and the next four years is going to be brilliant. We can’t wait till it comes to Adare in Limerick in 2027 also.
