On Friday at the U.S. Open at Merion golf club, a spectator yelled out ‘mashed potatoes’ at Phil Mickelson, and today someone took the obnoxiousness to a new level. Prior to Sergio Garcia teeing off a fan yelled out “fried chicken’ at Sergio and it got a few chuckles out of the crowd. The reference was meant as a dig to Sergio for his poor fried chicken joke directed at Tiger Woods recvently. [Eye on Golf] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

Phil Mickelson was briefly delayed before taking his second shot on the 6th hole in Friday's second round of the US Open tournament when a groundhog ran across the fairway.
Mickelson hit for par on the hole and finished second overall at the end of the round, so the interruption by the groundhog was not a big distractoin.
