Tiger Woods
It was a Monday finish and Tiger Woods pulled off another win at Torrey Pines. Some courses just set up nicely to the eye for one reason or another. That is the case for Torrey Pines and Tiger Woods. This is Woods 75th PGA tour win. He has won at Torrey Pines 6 other times and one U.S. Open Championship bringing his win total to 8 at Torrey Pines. It looked like the Tiger was losing his growl near the end. Tiger had it to 18 under par before he played the last 5 holes at 4 over par. Tiger bogeys 14, double bogeys 15 and bogeys 17. It was a good thing he only had one more hole to play the way he was dropping strokes. Tiger Woods is only 7 wins short of reaching Sam Snead’s record of 82 PGA tour wins. What the golf fans really want to know is if Tiger Woods is back. Will Tiger be able to add to his major win total this season? Tiger has stalled at 14 Majors and is still 4 short of the Golden Bears 18 Major wins. Will this be the year Tiger catches Jack? Who knows, we are still along w...

Any questions?
Tiger Woods may or may not be back -- whatever that means -- but throughout the longest of Sundays on the Southern California coast, he was once again the champion he used to be.
Woods played 25 holes at a soggy Torrey Pines in 6-under par and, with 11 holes left in his final round at the Farmers Insurance Open, takes a commanding six-shot lead into the Monday finish...
Woods is on target at Torrey Pines
Torrey Pines may be Tiger Woods' territory, but he hasn't won here since 2008. His performance for much of Sunday at the Farmers Insurance Open, though, was reminiscent of his play during those simpler years.
Woods shot 3-under-par 69 to take a four-shot lead into the final round, which was to start Sunday after a short break and complete Monday.

Fog delays third round at Torrey Pines
Tiger Woods is going to have to wait to pursue another win at Torrey Pines.
A thick fog shrouded the course along the Pacific bluffs on Saturday and essentially wiped out the entire day at the Farmers Insurance Open. Woods, a six-time winner of this tournament, had a two-shot lead and never even bothered coming to the golf course. Three players completed one hole -- and that was...
A step for Tiger, but nothing more
(Eds: With AP Photos.) By DOUG FERGUSON AP Golf Writer Tiger Woods hates the question, even though the answer should be simple enough.
Is he back?
Woods was asked that when he ended his 749-day drought by winning his World Challenge at the end of 2011. The question came up in various forms last year after each of his wins at Bay Hill, Memorial and the AT&T National at Congressional...
Tiger's next hurdle: winning a major
Your correspondent has emphatically said for years that golf performance should not be evaluated by 10-minute intervals. That notion tends to get lost in these days of Internet immediacy, in these days of the hole-by-hole Tiger Tracker, when one hole of tweeted play-by-play carries too much word weight and lacks big-picture perspective.

Clark speaks his mind on anchoring
Tim Clark would have been easy to miss among dozens of PGA Tour players who poured out of a hotel ballroom after a two-hour meeting on the proposed ban of the stroke used for long putters, except he was the only guy with a suitcase.
Clark didn't bring golf clubs to Torrey Pines, only an overnight bag. He didn't play in the tournament last week, but he paid his way to San...
