That other Rory - Rory Sabbatini - played his best golf in the worst weather and was leading the Memorial.
A familiar Tiger Woods was lurking.
Sabbatini played bogey-free over his final 12 holes and had a 3-under 69 in cool, blustery conditions at Muirfield Village to take a one-shot lead over a group that includes Woods going into the weekend.
Woods put together another strong round, and another double bogey that kept it from being better. He shot a 69 and was tied for second with Spencer Levin and Scott Stalling, whose morning round was interrupted by a two-hour rain delay.
Rory McIlroy won't be around for the weekend. The U.S. Open champion shot 79 and missed the cut in his third straight tournament.
