Tiger Woods looks healthy enough. And he looks like he is hitting the shots he wants to -- for the most part. A day after lighting up Lake Nona with partner Justin Rose, Tiger struggled a bit Tuesday, starting fast, but fading on the back nine to fire an even-par 72 at the Tavistock Cup. Playing for Team Albany, Tiger went out in 2-under 34, but seemed to fizzle after a bogey at the par-5 11th hole. Team Lake Nona defended their Tavistock title, with Team Isleworth in second, Team Quenwood in third and Team Albany in fourth. Tiger played with Thomas Bjorn, Graeme McDowell and Sean O'Hair on Tuesday at Lake Nona.

Tiger Woods says he's healthy and ready

Tiger Woods stopped in the middle of his swing, flexed his right knee and began rubbing his back. More trouble? No, just the click of a camera Wednesday morning that made him stop, and he felt a twinge in his lower back. Woods made it through the rest of his pro-am round at the Arnold Palmer Invitational without incident. He says his left Achilles tendon, which caused him to withdraw...

Have we had our fill of dirt on Tiger?

A smiling Tiger Woods weaved in between the cameras and moved into a familiar position, behind a microphone in a makeshift interview area near the 18th green at Bay Hill. Woods often betrays apprehension by smiling broadly when facing the media. I remember well how out of place that big, wide grin was when he walked past me in the media room at the 2010 Masters for that fateful...

Woods shows no problem with ankle

Tiger Woods made it through two days of a golf exhibition without any trouble with his left Achilles tendon. Woods withdrew from the final round at Doral on March 11 with tightness in his left Achilles tendon, the same one that forced him to miss two majors last year. Woods later said he was being smart about his injury, and that it turned out to be a minor strain. If he makes...

Wedges a weakness for Woods right now

Tiger Woods wolfed down a peanut butter sandwich and sipped on a can of Diet Coke. Then he went to work on the range at Bay Hill. Wedges, wedges and more wedges. Sean Foley stepped in early and often, changing Woods' body position, reminding him of his arm lines, how he wants the club to exit and making sure there's a slight cup in his lead wrist to shallow the wedges,...

Tiger Woods blames tweaked back on photographer

Tiger Woods shot well in his opening round at the Arnold Palmer Invitational Thursday going 3-under (69) to tie him for fourth. His strong opening round was even more impressive when you consider the back pain he endured Wednesday during the Pro-Am. Tiger tweaked his back on the sixth hole and blamed a photographer for the incident. “I guess one of the so-called professional photographers...

Tiger strong in return to course

Leave it to funnyman David Feherty to put the first day of the Tavistock Cup into the proper context. When a supposedly rehabbing Tiger Woods hammered a drive down the first fairway Monday at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, Feherty, emceeing the annual made-for-TV exhibition, cracked: "Well, nothing fell off him." What a difference eight days made. When last we saw...

Video: Tiger Will Be Back for the Masters

With the start of The Masters only two weeks away and Tiger Woods having to bow out of his last PGA Tour tournament due to injury, questions arose in the media if Tiger was going to be ready for the first Major of the year. Woods decided to squash those rumors by taking to the media himself as he visited The Scott Van Pelt Show on ESPN Radio and sat down with Tom Rinaldi at ESPN...

Haney portrait of Woods: A player never satisfied

Tiger Woods' fascination with the Navy SEALs and how he might have incurred his leg injuries are sure to generate plenty of buzz when Hank Haney's book goes on sale next week. There also is plenty of gossip involving other players, such as the time Ian Poulter invited himself to ride home on Woods' plane after a practice round at Oakmont. But there is a bigger picture...

Old guard invades Bay Hill en masse

There was a time not all that long ago when having Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh and Ernie Els in the same field meant a tournament director could boast that he had the four best players in the world. But when they all tee it up this week in the Arnold Palmer Invitational, none is in the top 10 of the World Golf Ranking, even though Mickelson and Woods proved earlier...
