Here's your May 2nd Pin Sheet: In case you somehow missed it, Vijay Singh withdraws from Wells Fargo one day after being cleared for the Deer Antler fiasco. Not a great week for the Wells Fargo event, writes Jason Sobel:  "Before the first official shot was even struck this week, the event was hampered by a weakened field (only one top-10 player is here); an epidemic of withdrawals (nine and counting so far); patchy, brownish greens (new ones will be installed next week); and a long-awaited procedural announcement (Vijay Singh getting off scot-free after admitting to using a banned substance)." Bob Harig says Rickie Fowler has substance to go with his style:  "For several years, he has been discussed as one of the top young American players and has all but multiple victories to prove it. A playoff victory a year ago over Rory McIlroy and D.A. Points was long in coming and seen as a breakthrough, but a back injury plagued him last summer and a second win still awaits." More from Sobel, this time reacting to the Jason Collins story:  "True to his words, when some of his peers were questioned on the same topic – not for their personal thoughts about one of their own coming out on Tour, but as part of the general consensus – few offered no comment, few declined to speculate on what is for now a hypothetical situation and others felt indifferent toward the issue." Sigh.  More on the Tiger drop story, this time from Sports Illustrated:  "Millions watched Woods make his now-famous second-round drop on ESPN on the 15th hole at 6:33 p.m. on that Friday in mid-April. But only one person was able to get a message to Ridley about it. And that person, it turns out, was the Champions tour golfer David Eger." Meanwhile, both the USGA and R&A support the ruling. In more important news, Bill Haas expected first son...any minute now. The kiddie table: 12-year old Ye Wocheng posts 79 in the first round of the European Tour's China Open. Guan Tianling accepts invite to play Byron Nelson. There's a documentary about 7-year olds preparing for the Junior World Championships.  I **** you not.  Bill Haas' first son to play in Open Champinship qualifier.  Just kidding.
