Davis Love III withdraws from Heritage
Five-time RBC Heritage champion Davis Love III has withdrawn from the tournament.
Love had committed on Friday, hopeful that he could play through a cracked rib that caused him to pull out of the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month. Love has not played since. The tournament begins Thursday.
Love has played in the RBC Heritage tournament 26 straight seasons...

Love takes lead at Honda Classic
Davis Love III looked more like a player than a Ryder Cup captain Thursday at the Honda Classic.
Love made a hole-in-one on the 197-yard fifth hole and tied the course record at PGA National with a 6-under 64, giving him a two-shot lead. He took advantage of soft and relatively calm conditions in the morning.
Rory McIlroy was in the group at 66, needing a win this week to go to...

Love preparing for a Ryder Cup year (AP)
There is plenty of evidence that this is a Ryder Cup year. The U.S. players are starting to earn points from regular PGA Tour events, with Kyle Stanley atop the standings based on his runner-up finish and win in consecutive weeks. Davis Love III walks onto the range and players call him "captain." Love, however, said the race to make the team really doesn't start until late May.
