Helio Castroneves posted a two-lap average speed of 183.480 mph in the No. 3 Hitachi Team Penske Chevrolet to earn the Verizon P1 Award for Saturday night’s Iowa Corn 300 at Iowa Speedway.
The pole is the third of the season for Castroneves as he looks to earn his first win of 2015.

Helio Castroneves was able to lead 43 laps and looked to have a car capable of winning the event. However, a wreck at lap 136 would result in the Brazilian crossing the finish line in the 23rd spot.
