Baseball America has released the list of the 2010 minor league free agents, with the following players declaring from the Pittsburgh Pirates' system:
Mitch Jones

Kratz becomes eligible for minor league free agency.
No big surprises here, and the only loss seems to be Kratz. The Pirates avoided minor league free agency by re-signing Kratz last year. If re-signed, Kratz and Jason Jaramillo would both be in AAA to start the 2011 season, unless the Pirates managed to trade Ryan Doumit, at which point one of those two would become the backup catcher in the majors, with the other one serving as the third catcher and starter in AAA.
Back in September, I posted a list of the players who would potentially be minor league free agents. The only differences between that list and this list are that I had the wrong signing date for Jose de los Santos (had him eligible for minor league free agency next season), and I had Brian Bass and Greg Picart on the list. Bass was granted free agency a few weeks ago, and it seems that the Pirates have avoided free agency with Picart.
This list only includes players who were eligible for minor league free agency under a normal time frame. Steven Jackson and Brandon Moss can both become minor league free agents since they were both recently outrighted off the 40-man roster for the second time in their careers.
