Jason Kipnis (Credits below) Hitters to Start Jason Kipnis |Cleveland Indians| (100%) – Kipnis has been nothing short of amazing for fantasy owners this year especially as of late.  This week Kipnis and his Indians hit the road for all 6 of this week’s games.  This will pay dividends for Kipnis owners.  Kipnis hits 133 points higher while hitting on the road (.365 vs. .232) and has an OBP 107 points higher (.409 vs. .302).  His first series of the week takes place in Detroit against the Tigers.  In 14 career at-bats against the Tigers starters that he’ll face he has 5 hits equating to a .357 average.  Kipnis then takes his talents to St. Louis.  In his short career he has yet to face any of the St. Louis pitchers, but Busch Stadium is 7th best for run creation in baseball (factor of 1.25 runs). Delmon Young |Detroit Tigers| (30.7%) – Delmon Young has two things going for him this week, great historical numbers and momentum.  Over the last 15 games Young is hitting .340.  First serie...

The Skinny on Tyler Naquin, Your CF of the Future

Before I start, I am not going to lie to you and tell you that I know what kind of a player the Indians are getting in OF Tyler Naquin. I have never seen him play. However, I have done enough reading over the past few days to be aware of his skill set and what he potentially can bring to the table for the organization. In case you have been living under a rock, you know the Indians...

Report: Carlos Santana to play for Lake County tonight

From the Indians- “Carlos Santana has been cleared to DH tonight for Lake County. They play Ft Wayne at 7PM tonight in Eastlake.” Sounds like a good reason to take in a Captains game to me. Santana should be ready to play in Detroit Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. [Related: Indians notes]

Indians' Jimenez set to return after being skipped for one start

The Indians had a scheduled off day Monday, their second in five days. The break allowed Cleveland to use a four-man rotation during that period, and it was telling which pitcher was skipped. The choice was Ubaldo Jimenez, who at the start of the season was considered to be the No. 1-A starter behind Opening Day starter Justin Masterson. Team officials believed that Masterson and...

The Cleveland Indians recently stood atop the AL Central as one the season's pleasant surprises. Poor performances from the starting rotation have quickly changed that, and Joe Mauer and the AL-worst Minnesota Twins would like to continue capitalizing. Justin Masterson will try to rebound from his worst outing of the year and help the Indians re-establish their dominance of the...

Overthinking It: Derek Lowe Goes Back In Time by Ben Lindbergh

I’m normally not a big fan of blind Player X/Player Y comparisons. I can’t stand the suspense. In this case, though, I picked the players, so I already know who they are. You already know who one of them is if you read the title of this piece, but let’s pretend it’s still a surprise: Player ERA K/9 ...
