As in each recent winter, the 2013 St. Louis Cardinals Legends Camp is scheduled for January 23-27 at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Florida. The basic allure is that the average fan can participate in workouts, games and evening events alongside almost a complete roster of former Cardinals players. Two dozen men who once wore the Birds on the Bat as players are scheduled to participate in the 2013 Legends Camp. They include Hall of Famers Ozzie Smith, Lou Brock, Whitey Herzog and Bruce Sutter. According to its website, enrollments will be accepted until January 5 only. The event reportedly sells out annually despite the hefty price of $4495. and $5795. per camper, depending on the package selected. Hire Heroes USA is a beneficiary of the proceeds.
