While the St. Louis Cardinals have not yet announced their 2013 spring training schedule, several other clubs that play nearby in Florida have.
Clubs having released schedules include the Houston Astros, Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves, joined on Monday by the New York Mets. The only other club likely to face St. Louis more than a couple of times is their Roger Dean Stadium cohabitant, the Miami Marlins. Like St. Louis, the Fish have yet to release their spring slate of games.
As a result of the announcements to date, we can piece together over half of the Cardinals schedule – 17 games as follows.
As always, check back here for additional information as it is made available, including opponents’ announcements plus spring radio and television plans from the Cardinals and their Grapefruit League rivals.

The St. Louis Cardinals trotted out a new uniform this week that they will wear on Saturday home games during the 2013 season. The new alternate jersey has a great retro look, but the franchise could’ve taken one more step to truly take the new look back in time.

Lance Berkman showed in 2011 that he still had some gas left in the tank, but a knee injury limited the veteran to just 32 games in 2012. Now, with Berkman available on the open market, there are a few teams at least willing to consider signing the slugger in the hopes of him bouncing back.
