The Run Down
Cincinnati is coming off of a 97-win season, and while it's tough to expect that kind of success on a year-to-year basis, I really don't see much regression out of the Reds this season, or for the next few seasons either. The pitching depth that Cincy has accumulated in their farm system is outstanding -- there are high-impact arms at every level, and there's plenty of fantasy intrigue given that most of these young pitchers are of the lots-o-whiffs variety. The bats of this system are a little less appealing, but not completely lacking. Jesse Winker is a young player with a huge ce...

The Reds enjoyed a rare off day on Thursday after crushing Team Canada by a tally of 12-2 Wednesday night. The win effectively snapped a seven-game losing skid for Dusty Baker's bunch.

TEMPE, Ariz. The buzz question in the camp of the Cincinnati Reds this spring is: Aroldis Chapman or Mike Leake? Mike Leake or Aroldis Chapman? The Reds are experimenting this spring to see what works best for the good and betterment of the team. + Danny Knobler of CBS Sports says the Reds are making two bold moves by sliding Aroldis Chapman into the bullpen and Shin-Soo...
One of the challenges when it comes to ranking players by position in fantasy baseball is trying to determine which player is going to have that breakout season and return a profit to your auction buy or draft pick. When reviewing the list of third basemen for the 2013 season, my pick to break out is Todd Frazier of the Cincinnati Reds.
Frazier took over at third base for the Reds...
Ryan Ludwick and Miguel Olivo hit three-run homers Wednesday night and the Cincinnati Reds piled up 18 hits for a 12-2 victory over Canada's team in the World Baseball Classic.
The Canadians managed only four hits in a tuneup for their opening WBC game on Saturday. Reds first baseman Joey Votto, who is on Canada's team, didn't play.

Stemming from a pregame argument over the use of the DH, Reds skipper Dusty Baker refused to shake D-Backs manager Kirk Gibson's hand after Monday's game.
Mark Sheldon has up a piece on Daniel Corcino and his relationship with Johnny Cueto. Corcino has long been compared to Cueto, and while they look similar and their stuff remsembles the other guy, Corcino still has a lot of things to pick up from Cueto.
“My changeup is much better now from working with Mario Soto,” Corcino said. “Everything, my mechanics and changeup, will...
Zack Cozart got the Reds a very short-lived lead in the first. The Cincinnati Reds continued their losing ways yesterday, dropping their 10th Spring Training game to the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-2.
Johnny Cueto started and pitched well. Over three innings, he allowed one run on one hit and struck out four.
Overall, the pitching wasn’t as bad as the 7-spot makes it look. The defense...

Cincinnati’s has one of the easier opening day rosters to predict after returning most of their players from a 97-win season. Dusty Baker’s management style utilizes all 25 of the active roster spots and there still is some competition for utility infield and bullpen jobs as the season approaches.
