O’s baseball: how long can you stand it?
There are times when I wish I was a better writer, if only to fully express my frustration with the Orioles. I just don’t think my vocabulary has access to the combination of anger, despair, dejection, outrage and helplessness that make up the unholy stew of Baltimore baseball.
Brian Roberts has mentioned a couple times recently that the Orioles aren’t too focused on...
Twins Get the 1st Game of the Series From the O's; The Metrodome and Target Field...
Last night, Oriole rookie Chris Tillman learned how difficult life can be in the majors at times. The youngster pitched well and show why the Orioles have been so high on him; however, despite his solid start, the offense could not get anything going, and in the end, Baltimore lost to Minnesota, 2-1, to kick off a three game set. Minnesota used an RBI-single by Denard Span and a...
Little Big Man: Brian Roberts Is a One Man Wrecking Ball in August
As I've often said (too often with this team...), when the Baltimore Orioles are limping towards another losing season and another last place finish, it's time to focus on the individual accomplishments.
Brian Roberts is the man to be watching as August winds down.
Roberts hit his 47th double against the Chicago White Sox yesterday and as I noted last week, Roberts is bearing...
Nice to have Roberts back in leader role
Healthy, power-stroking infielder shows fellow Orioles how to win
F or a few days, at least, the Orioles have jumped aboard the Brian Roberts Express and actually look like a major league baseball team.

Rookie starter works off mound for first time since injuring shin July 30
Orioles injured starter Brad Bergesen threw Sunday for the first time in about two weeks and came away optimistic about his chances for rejoining the Orioles' rotation at some point in September. Bergesen hasn...
Roberts, Reimold lead Orioles past White Sox
Brian Roberts had three hits, Nolan Reimold hit a two-run homer and the Baltimore Orioles beat Mark Buehrle and the White Sox 5-4 on Sunday. Jason Berken (3-11) won just for the second time since May 26. The rookie right-hander allowed three runs, two earned, and five hits in 5 2-3 innings. Buehrle (11-7) continued to struggle, yielding five runs and 11 hits in 5 1-3 innings.
Baltimore Orioles (50-73) at Chicago White Sox (63-60), 2:05 p.m.
(Sports Network) -- Since his perfect performance nearly a month ago, Mark Buehrle has been anything but flawless for the Chicago White Sox. The usually reliable hurler will be attempting to right the ship and pitch his team to a needed series win over the Baltimore Orioles in this afternoon's rubber match between the clubs from U.S. Cellular Field.
Baltimore Orioles (51-74) at Minnesota Twins (62-63), 8:10 p.m.
(Sports Network) -- After a rough start to the month of August, the Minnesota Twins are starting to get into a groove for the upcoming stretch run.
