Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman is expected to be headed for the disabled list because of a right shoulder injury. Zimmerman will visit a specialist in Los Angeles for a second opinion his inflamed AC joint. If he receives a cortisone shot, then he is expected to be placed on the disabled list, according to the Washington Post. “Hopefully, it’ll just continue to get a little bit better,” said Zimmerman on Thursday night. “It’s easier to take your time when you’re 14-4, so we got that going. But it’s frustrating. You work hard all offseason to get healthy.
