JUST PLAIN SLOPPY The Orioles had a chance to take the early lead but were foiled by missed opportunities and key mistakes. With runners on first and second and no outs in the first, Felix Pie, the trail runner, was thrown out stealing and then Nick Markakis struck out with a runner on third and one out. In the bottom of the first, Jason Berken's four-pitch leadoff walk and Melvin Mora's throwing error contributed to two Marlins runs.
