Los Angeheim Angels - Reportedly have signed RF Bobby Abreu to a 2-year contract.
This just broke and there's nothing about contract terms yet. To pull a complete figure out of thin air, I'd guess that it's in the $8-$10 million per range. I expect this to be a reasonable signing, especially if Abreu is DHing as soon as possible. Abreu's settled in the 115 OPS+ range and even if he declines a bit, he should probably still be a league-average player, assuming that he's not left in the field. Depending on the contract, Abreu's likely a good enough deal that the Angels won't suffer any payroll inflexibility as a result.
