Arizona calls up top prospect Stephen Drew
Counsell will be out 3-6 weeks with a broken rib. This will be a nice little test for Drew who hopefully can avoid injuries better than his big brother JD. While far from extraordinary, Counsell was on a very similar productivity pace to last year. Meaning, unless Drew shows a sizeable improvement by comparison, I doubt he will stick around longer than Counsell's DL stint. In the minors so far this year, Drew hit .284, 13 HRs, 51 RBI, 3SBs and 55 Runs in 342 ABs.
