What are the odds the Rangers' offense can come back from a 7-2 deficit, assuming Jason Jennings and whoever follows can hold Arizona in check? Not good, even though the Rangers have six hits after five turns at bat.
Speaking of not good, Matt Harrison was not good. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings as he consistently fell behind hitters. The left-hander also walked four.
The Rangers appear to be headed to a fifth straight loss, which would match their longest skid of the season. The first came in early April.

Sosa and McGwire Get Laughed at Last
So here, potentially, is the ultimate — and fitting — commentary on the 1998 home run extravaganza that supposedly saved Major League Baseball from its self-inflicted collective bargaining wounds of four years earlier. Cowlishaw game: Cactus Edition
No one had Matt Harrison only lasting 3 2/3 innings. His line: 7 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, 85 pitches. Joltin' Joe Lovitto was the closest. He had Harrison going 4.2 innings and allowing 5 runs on 10 hits. Still, no one gets the grand prize.
