My guess is that when Dallas Morning News writer Evan Grant woke up this morning, he didn't expect he'd be questioned from coast-to-coast by the early afternoon. That's to be expected when you leave Dustin Pedroia completely off your MVP ballot.

    I think it does in that it forces people to review procedure. Some players get bonuses from being named MVP or even being in the Top 3 and then there's the entire HOF discussion. I think it's important that the BWAA knows there are watchdogs out there.
