Before Thursday, the Brewers and Giants were the only teams in the majors to use only five starting pitchers this season. The Brewers dropped off the list that day when Mike Burns started in place of injured Dave Bush. The Giants will drop off Sunday when Ryan Sadowski makes his big-league debut in place of Jonathan Sanchez, who is being skipped.
