Bonus points for those playing the streaking Alou in the playoffs. With Alou on third, Ray Durham tried to steal 2B. Johnny Estrada tried to nail him there while a frisky Alou came home. It wasn't exactly the same as Carl Crawford's steal from third earlier in the season, but it will look the same in the boxscore. It was Alou's second stolen base of the season. Over the last 14 days, Moises Alou is hitting .386 with 5 HR, 7 Runs and 16 RBI. The man can still play when healthy.

  • Hilarious. Below are the surgeon general's warnings for drafting Moises Alou

1 - Don't draft him in multiple leagues, no matter how cheap he is or how far he has slipped in the draft.
2 - The moment he beomes day-to-day with an injury, you drop him from your roster. He's day-to-day with injuries like Gagne is.
3 - If you have Moises Alou on your team, you better have a sufficient backup. If you're not carrying a backup, then you are going to lose your fantasy league. Don't blame it on Moises. If you asked him, he would tell you he's planning on blowing out his calf 2-3 times a seaon requiring 4-5 DL stints.
4 - If you get angry when Moises Alou gets hurt, you either have an anger problem or you didn't read the first three rules.
5 - Don't pee on your own hands. It won't make your fantasy team better.

Giants Officially Eliminated from Contention

Year in and year out, the Giants break the hearts of their fans. This year is no different. Barry Bonds has a decent season, but the pitching staff has tired and so the club has been unable to turn the offensive production into victories. Now all that's left to play for is the goal of spoiling their rival Dodgers' playoff aspirations. I will be there at the park hoping...

Bonds Will Play Next Year

Barry's agent has told reporters that his client intends to play one more season, in order to break the HR record. The teams rumored to be "attractive" to Bonds are the Mariners, Tigers, Yankees, Angels, Dodgers, and Giants. I can't see any team but the Giants agreeing to take on that liability. Well, maybe the Dodgers.

The true hope of this spring

If you haven't yet, take a second and read Chuck Finder's recap of yesterday's game against the Rays. This is the second paragraph: Pedro Alvarez crushed a ninth-inning, two-out, three-run, pinch-hit, home run that traveled somewhere between 440 feet and, were it not for the high center-field screen, the Atlantic Ocean. Andrew McCutchen made a diving catch in center field...
