Miguel Cabrera has long been on Omar Minaya's wish list and why wouldn't he be, at 26 y/o he's already been in the league seven years with a lifetime BA of .311, 1200 hits, 200 HRs and 750 RBIs.Cabrera has lived up to his Minny Manny persona in more ways then one; sure his uncanny ability to hit regardless of whats going on is impressive but he also can be a lackadaisical fielder which has caused dissension between himself and his teammates. Unlike Manny, Cabrera has repeatedly allowed himself to get out of shape and while it hasn't slowed his bat it has effected his defense. Cabrera had to be moved from third base because of his conditioning but he has successfully made the change to first base. If the Tigers decide they're tired of his act and decide to shop him, I'm sure we'll be rumored to be interested, but buyer beware; Cabrera's incredible bat comes with more baggage then Manny ever had.
