Semi-good news for all you Chad Cordero fantasy owners, the Washington Nationals closer won't be going on the Disabled List, yet. The reason for him not entering the game last night was due to shoulder tendinitis. Cordero actually received a cortisone shot yesterday and didn't enter the game because his shoulder was still feeling strange. The team has shut him down for

Last year the bullpen nearly cost the Phillies a shot at the playoffs with the likes of Tom Gordon, Ryan Madson, Jose "Joe Table" Mesa, and Antonio "6-Finger Ant" Alfonseca. Although the Braves tied the game at 2 in the top of the 9th on a Paul Lo Duca (C) passed ball, young Nationals 3B Ryan Zimmerman launched a walk off HR to center with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th!

Boy, the Phillies really know how to suck the excitement out of Opening Day. The Phillies Achilles heel, their pitching, reared its ugly head today as the Phils lost to the Nationals 11-6.
This was not the start the Phillies were hoping for. The offense did its part, but the pitching looked like it did all spring: pathetic.
