WOW, That's sad. Goodbye Curt. You were one of the greats!

He has not pitched in Philly since 2000. More than half his wins and strikeouts are with teams other than the Phillies. He has two WS rings with Boston, one with Arizona, and zero with Philly. I think he will retire as Red Sox. Most people will remember that image of his blood sock in the 07 series.

It doesn't matter how long ago he pitched in Philly. He is still one of the great ones!

Didn't mean to imply that he wasn't. He had some great years in Philly, but most of his team success came with other teams. He was outstanding there, but he will be remembered more for his work with the other teams.

He was good but way too full of himself, to the point of being annoying. And he is border line for the Hall, only 216 career wins, I don't think he gets in.
  • One of the best to who reminded me of the pitchers in late 50's and 60's when baseball at the time was clean.
