It's not exactly exciting baseball news, but from a fantasy perspective Joey Gathright is again on the map. Roadblocked in Tampa by a number of talented OF's, Gathright, arguably the fastest man in baseball shouldn't have that same problem in KC. Manager Buddy Bell plans to insert him into the lineup immediately, shifting current center fielder David Dejesuse to left field. Howell, who projects as a 4th starter, will be sent to the minors.
If you need a potential SB machine who has trouble hitting major league pitching, then Gathright's your guy.
