Third baseman Casey McGehee capped a fantastic series with a two-run homer and sacrifice fly to account for three of the Brewers' four runs. In the three games, McGehee was 5 for 11 (.455) with a double, two homers and nine RBI.

Center fielder Mike Cameron "would be willing to make a sacrifice" to remain with the Brewers beyond this year, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. (Hat tip to Aaron Gleeman, and check out his analysis as well). McCalvy notes Cameron's $10MM salary and likely Type B status. Gleeman writes of Cameron's continued defensive prowess, and says the center fielder is already a bargain...

Disappointing Phillies series, but that is the way it goes sometimes when you are playing against pitchers as good as Hamels, Happ, and Martinez. Even when you got Sanchez, Penny, and Lincecum going for you. You tip your cap to them and be glad you got a win out of it, and move on. They are the defending World Series champions, afterall, and have one of the best offenses around...
