Howie Kendrick (or Howard if you go by the Angels official website) was 3-for-5 in the Halos 5-4 victory over the New York Yankees in Game 3 of the ALCS Monday afternoon. Trailing 3-0, Kendrick gave the hometown fans something to cheer about by hitting a solo homer off Andy Pettitte in the fifth. He tripled and scored what would have been the winning run in the seventh but Kevin Jepsen had to go and blow it by surrendering a game tying home run in the eighth. Kendrick singled off Alfredo Aceves to keep the Angels rally alive in the eleventh and came all the way around to score on Jeff Mathis' walkoff double. Yankees lose! Yankees lose!
