According to Paul Kenyon of The Providence Journal, the Red Sox have released outfielder Paul McAnulty. He had spent the entire season with Triple-A Pawtucket, hitting .233-.331-.402 in 378 plate appearances. McAnulty was leading the club in homeruns (11) and RBI (48) at the time of his release.
