Coco Crisp charged the mount today against Tampa Bay and avoided a huge right hook from pitcher James Shields. He came back with a quick jab but was quickly piled on and sucker-punched repeatedly.

The Lakers fans bet him $100 that he wouldn't run onto the field in an attempt to slide into second base. He didn't get far enough to make the slide but he did make it from one side of the field to the other AND avoid a diving tackle.

The MRI on David Ortiz's left wrist is showing ligament damage and he will possibly be out for at least a month as the team put him on the 15-day DL tonight. It's a partial tear and is reminiscent of what Nomar went through when he was having injury problems in Boston.
