Blame It On The Rain
Video of Jonathan Papelbon and Manny Delcarmen... lip synching to Milli Vanilli.
Where in the World is Manny DelCarmen Sandiego Coming From?
Earlier this year my girlfriend's father decided to take a trip to Canada to catch the Red Sox play in Toronto. The night before game 2 of the series, he was at a club and decided to go upstairs to check out the VIP section. Who was there? None other than Sox pitcher Manny Delcarmen. He witnessed Delcarmen consume a fair amount of alcohol during this time.
The night happened...
Curt Schilling to get season-ending shoulder surgery
After the whole 'rest or surgery' debate before the season started, I figured that this moment would come eventually. Curt Schilling will undergo season ending surgery on his pitching shoulder next week. This could potentially be career ending as Curt said, "there is a pretty decent chance that I've thrown my last pitch forever."
It's never good news...
Curt Schilling to Have Season-Ending Surgery
The Boston Red Sox pitcher announces on WEEI Sports Radio that he will have season-ending shoulder surgery on Monday.
Jonathan Papelbon and Manny Delcarmen make a great Milli Vanilli
During last nights rain delay at Fenway Park, the crowd was treated to a great video featuring Jonathan Papelbon and Manny Delcarmen lip-syncing to the Milli Vanilli hit, "Blame it on the Rain." I wonder who was Fab and who was Rob. You wont see Mariano Rivera and Kyle Farnsworth doing this!
Curt Schilling: Reason To Believe
Say what you want about Schill. Call him anything you like. But you better call him a champion too. Because that is what he is.
The Use of Pitch Counts in the Major League Baseball
In early October when I started this blog, Nathan, a reader asked what my opinion was on the use of pitch counts in major league baseball. Sorry for the delay Nathan! This topic, like the use of modern day Bullpens, are both subjects that I definately have an opinion on. Both of these articles show my "Old School" thinking on baseball. I guess you can say that I'm sort...

JD Drew: And Don't Call Me Nancy
Since replacing Ortiz in the number three spot, Drew has been downright torrid. En fuego. El flambe. Yaz once said, "I was a lousy hitter in May doing the same things that made me a great hitter in June." Sound familiar?
Surgery for Schilling will end season, maybe career
Curt Schilling will have season ending surgery to repair his ailing shoulder... but it could spell the end of his career as well. Get the scoop and other Red Sox news at The Bottom Line blog.
JD Drew and Justin Masterson continue to roll for Red Sox
Drew hit his 9th HR of June and went 4-5 on the day, while Masterson earned his 4 win in 6 starts with the Sox... get the recap of the game at The Bottom Line.
Modern Day Use of the Bullpen in Baseball
Fair Warning: This is one of my major league pet peeves!
The use of the modern day bullpen is a sore point with me. In my opinion, this practice is holding baseball back from gaining more widespread popularity. In order to gain more attention, all unnecessary down time needs to be eliminated. It is my opinion that the length of the games prevents people from becoming fans. The...

Cardinals 5 Red Sox 4
Ahh, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox, my two favorite teams. I have always been a huge Cardinals fan, but have also always rooted for the Red Sox. In 2004, while I hated to lose the World Series, I was happy that if we weren't going to win, that Boston did. There is so much class and tradition in...
