While Jose Offerman swinging a bat during his charge to the mound is crazy it's nothing compared to this video of Pawtucket Red Sox player Izzy Alcantara.
We have a double header with the Red Sox today. I had been asked several times if I was looking forward to facing Beckett, even though he may be starting game two. I always like the challenge of going against guys who are pitching well, but I really don't concern myself too much with that. I'm facing that lineup, not the other pitcher.
Boston is a tough place to play...

So I'm watching the game and Timlin is pitching well. To be honest, he has pitched well for awhile now. Ever since coming off the DL, he has really has only had one hiccup at Seattle. So why am i selling on Timlin? He is getting extremely lucky. This is a perfect example of why stats are important. Timlin looks great but with what he is doing, he should be doing significantly...
