On Saturday, Brian Bruney called-out Francisco Rodriguez for his histrionics when he successfully saves a game. Rodriguez is arguably one of the best closers in the league, while Bruney is a journeyman, hopeful set-up man. Whether he has a problem with K-Rod's antics or not, at this point in his career it's really not his place to say something. K-Rod responded by saying as much, basically after asking who Bruney was, K-Rod said he would listen to such criticism from Mariano Rivera, not Brain Bruney. K-Rod sought Bruney out this morning during warm-ups and the two had to be separated. "We stepped in before something happened," Pelfrey said. "It was getting a little hot. K-Rod went right up to him after we were done stretching and after he found out who he was. He really didn't know. He kept asking, 'Is that the guy?'"All he was saying was something like, 'If you have something to say, say it to my face.' And Bruney didn't say much ...

  • i hate krods celelbrations. every save is like he won the wortld series. come playoff time he stinks the place up. im glad someone actually said somthing
  • Johnson7225 is just making noise now. KRod's post-season record is actually quite good. It's a hell of a lot better than Bruney's. The point being, just who *is* Bruney to open his yap?
  • k rod is a punk and Bruney finally said what many wanted to. And did you notice how tough k rod got when his team mates pulled him away. He is a p*ssy besides.
  • K rod is garbage. nothing but an average closer. and his celebrations need to be toned down. the best players are the most humble.
  • brian bruney is a very important part of the yankee bullpen. they need a bridge to mariano and he is the set up man on the yankees when healthy. this article was obviously written by a biased mets fan.
  • K Rod is a P-U-N-K !!!! It's about time somebody spoke up about that A-HOLE with his showing up the opposition. He might feel as if that pumps up himself and the team, but it is a PUNKASS move!! K-PUNK blew a gasket right away and wanted to kill Bruney because he knows it's a PUNKASS move!! I would've loved to see what would happen if his teammates didn't hold him back. He would've backed off like a little girl that he is!! He's a no class P-U-N-K puke!!!!
  • I don't see anyting wrong with him celebrating at the end of the game. It's not like he's over doing in or 'in your face' about it.
  • I do, he should act like a professional and not a snot nosed obnoxious jerk.
  • moneyhoney I dont think youre watching the right pitcher. Krod is way to over the top. if you only saw his celebration you would think they jus won the world series.
