The BearDown:
Ken Griffey will go down as the last great player of his Generation. He did it the right way, he did it clean. All of the other inflated numbers don't overshadow him because his name has NEVER been invovled with any of the other names out there. Further proof that he did it right. When he got older, his numbers went down, not up like Barroid and Roidger. Here's a nice little breakdown of his historic career. Also, a nice little whatif stat for ya.

There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home... Oh, wait, this sounds familiar.

As a Reds fan, I will say this: Ken Griffey Jr. is still waiting for 598 (last homer on April 23). The Reds are waiting with him so that they can trade him and get rid of overblown salary. The Reds need to get younger and Griffey needs to go. There is no proof that Griffey did it the right way, much like there is no proof that Bonds didn't. Keep that in mind before handing out high praise for a player that has mostly been a disappointment in Cincinnati.
