Found November 26, 2007 on Sox & Dawgs:
Odds are that Coco Crisp will be traded in the coming weeks for a player or players that will help the Red Sox for the 2008 season. If that happens, odds are Bobby Kielty could return to the Red Sox as the fourth outfielder.
1 Comment:
  • I don't think so.
The Sox are going to trade Crisp, one way or another, and I think Kielty wants a better role on a team where he could play more.
I also think that if the Sox wanted him back, they would have signed him early, like they did two years ago with Alex Cora, when they signed him to a 2-year deal on Nov. 17th...
Besides, he has one a WS, he does not necessarily want to stay in Boston!

Red Bull gives you wiiings

Coco Crisp was seen drinking it when he made one of his many insanely diving catches in a Red Sox uniform. Tons of athletes are sponsored or endorse it. But schools in Great Britain have banned it from school grounds because "some children's conduct changed after consuming the drink."Wooow, ...

Rocco Baldelli to sign with Red Sox

I'm not too thrilled with this signing but what can you expect from a 4th outfielder/bench player? The Red Sox are reportedly seconds from signing Rocco Baldelli to be a back-up outfielder.Baldelli, the 6th overall pick in 2000, was a VERY highly touted prospect at one time. That time period just happened to be pre-moneyball, which was when people thought it was ok to have a .320...

Video of Daniel Cabrera, the Red Sox & The Bench Clearing Incident...

Here's a video of the dust-up from last night between Daniel Cabrera and the Red Sox. I would not be surprised if he gets suspended, fined or both; however, what Cabrera did was beyond reason and his assumed absence will hurt a team with 3 rookies in the rotation along with Erik Bedard on the shelf. There was no need for retribution, as the balk that happened...

AL News & Notes - 3/18

Coco Crisp returned to action for the Boston Red Sox albeit in a minor league game. Jered Weaver has been impressive this spring for the Angels. The field for the A’s 5th spot in the rotation has been narrowed down. Blue Jays starter A.J. Burnett has been working on perfecting his changeup. Fa...

Note: A's like Crisp

During a chat with the Boston Globe, ESPN.com’s Peter Gammons said the A’s could be interested in acquiring Coco Crisp from Boston, assuming he isn’t traded to the Twins in a deal for Johan Santana. “I could see Billy Beane trading for Crisp and then turning around and trading...

Coco A Met?

Ed Coleman of WFAN just reported the Mets and Red Sox are close to a one-for-one deal involving Coco Crisp and Angel Pagan. Brian Giles is a Meathead - Nixes Trade to Boston

If you haven't heard the recent news by now, the Red Sox claimed Brian Giles off waivers yesterday and have 48 hours to work out a possible trade to bring the veteran outfielder to Boston. The real question we have to ask ourselves is, why? Rumor has it that Theo placed in the claim simply to deny the Angles or Rays a shot at picking up the 37-year-old. In that case, this...

Juan Cruz and the Royals: A Match Made in Heaven?

And the winner is....The Royals. What? Talk about coming out of left field. The normally frugal Royals are actually spending quite a bit of money this offseason...what a concept.I did not see this one coming. The Royals were not even mentioned in "The Market for Juan Cruz" column a few weeks back! But you know what, I like it.Here's why: after trading away two of their best relief...

Yankees Likely Out, Red Sox Near Deal For Santana

Hank Steinbrenner is quoted in the Providence Journal. "It's still something that we can't do," Steinbrenner said Tuesday morning. "As far as I'm concerned, it's probably off." The Red Sox seem close to a deal and worked well into last night. The Twins prefer Lester over Ellsbury, and the deal would be Jon Lester, Coco Crisp, Jed Lowrie, and Justin Masterson.
